When diplomacy fails in maintaining the peace, the use of force becomes necessary. The fictional Joint Task Force is a multinational unit whose mission is the continuous battle of peacekeeping. In over 20 single-player missions, the game will lead you trough various locations in the battle against a terrorist organization similar to Al-Qaeda. The story is interesting, containing some surprises, and it’s supported by some well done in-game cinematics.

Joint Task Force is a RTS that tries to get away from the ordinary recipe. As such, the building and resource gathering systems we are accustomed to have been replaced. Instead, at the start of each mission you will be given a limited amount of units, and then while you progress and complete objectives, you get money as reward. Those funds can then be used for buying reinforcements by your officer, reinforcements which will be brought to the battlefield via helicopter in a selected drop zone. This way you can buy troops and some light vehicles but you can also command bombardiers or satellite scans of the battlefield. For tanks and other vehicles of heavy caliber you would have to capture an airport where the units will be brought by supply planes.
