Since the multiplayer is more and more appreciated by growing numbers of gamers, the classic line of the single-player imposed by Ubisoft over some titles is always a thing to praise. Don't get me wrong, I love multiplayer too, but nothing beats a good storyline with a bunch captivating characters. I have no occult reasons for praising Ubisoft, but we have to point these things, especially when a company does its best for the quality of its products. Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is an exceptional title from certain points of view. Too bad it's the third title and not the first one. At a first glance, it looks like they borrowed that fairy tale aura from the first title with the toughness of the prince from the second one. Unfortunately, the enthusiasm I had a few years ago is all gone. I know that all good things come in time and it's quite clear to me that even Ubisoft needs to try and experiment with us, before obtaining that perfect balance. For me though, The Two Thrones is still one of these experiments.

The third part begins right where the second one ends. I cannot imagine otherwise though. If you haven't played Warrior Within, fear not. There is an introduction which will tell you everything, but it's better to try the first two parts produced by Ubisoft to fully understand the seriousness of things.

As I said, the prince and Kaileena, the beautiful empress of time, have embarked on a ship heading for his residence city, Babylon. Once they get there, they discover that chaos is spreading across the city and while they contemplate over the situation, Kaileena is taken hostage. Things get worse because our dear empress dies right under the terrified eyes of the prince who turns black with anger. Actually, he really turns black into the Dark Prince. They say that Dark Prince is the negative version of Prince of Persia, but assisting to the murder of Kaileena, the prince's sole wish is to avenge her death and restore order in Babylon. Let me rephrase. Revenge is what he's after. During the game you will play with both characters, each with his methods and abilities. Unfortunately, the Dark Prince must feed with the sands of time left behind by enemies, so you must constantly move while playing with him or he dies and you have to reload the level.
