Dead Rising 2 vândut în peste 2 milioane de exemplare

Capcom ne-a informat că au fost vândute peste 2 milioane de exemplare ale jocului de acţiune Dead Rising 2, ce a devenit astfel cel mai bine vândut titlu din serie.

De asemenea, compania a anunţat şi achiziţia studiourilor Blue Castle Games, responsabile pentru crearea jocului, ce îşi vor schimba numele în Capcom Game Studio Vancouver.

Capcom is pleased to confirm that since its release at the end of September Dead Rising 2 has achieved global shipment numbers of over two million units, bringing the total number of units of the Dead Rising franchise shipped worldwide to date to over four million. The achievement of Dead Rising 2 is a result of the successful collaboration between Capcom and Vancouver based developer Blue Castle Games.

Further to the announcement of the acquisition of Blue Castle Games at Tokyo Games Show, Capcom is extremely pleased to confirm that this acquisition has now been ratified by the Canadian authorities, with this wholly owned subsidiary being known as Capcom Game Studio Vancouver.

The sequel to the million-plus selling Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 sees the player take on the role of former Motocross champion Chuck Greene, who has come to Fortune City, America's newest gambling paradise, to compete in “Terror is Reality,” a gruesome game show that dares contestants to survive zombie-filled environments for big money prizes at the delight of TV audiences around the globe. Chuck’s motivation for taking part and risking life and limb is his daughter Katey, who since being bitten by a zombie requires a daily dose of Zombrex to prevent her from turning into one of the living dead. There’s no denying that Zombrex works, but since it’s the only drug on the market, its price is high.
