Aliens: Colonial Marines va fi lansat în primăvara viitoare

SEGA anunţă că în primăvara anului viitor va fi lansat pentru PC, Xbox 360 şi PlayStation 3, mult aşteptatul shooter co-op Aliens: Colonial Marines, dezvoltat de studiourile Gearbox Software.
Acţiunea se va desfăşura la bordul navei abandonate U.S.S Sulaco, unde jucătorii aflaţi în fruntea unei unităţi de elită United States Colonial Marines vor trebui să descopere ce s-a întâmplat cu echipajul navetei.

And SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced that the highly-anticipated first-person shooter, Aliens: Colonial Marines™, will be launching in spring 2012 on PC, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. In partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and developed by critically acclaimed studio Gearbox Software, Aliens: Colonial Marines will bring new levels of bone-chilling suspense and adrenaline-filled action to the renowned franchise. The game pits players against the universe’s ultimate alien killing machines, the Xenomorphs, in claustrophobic environments guaranteed to produce blood curdling thrills that the movie is renowned for. A first look of the game is presented in the South Hall at SEGA’s booth #2023, at this week’s E3 in Los Angeles.

Aliens: Colonial Marines begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, the U.S.S. Sulaco, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew. They will have to fight to survive unspeakable horrors and their own anxieties as they chase down the truth behind a galaxy-spanning deception that places humanity at the mercy of the most murderous and deadly species in the universe. Aliens: Colonial Marines features authentic environments, such as the surface of LV-426 and Hadley’s Hope, weapons inspired by the film series and is designed to provide an exhilarating and engaging new chapter in the Aliens universe.
Aliens: Colonial Marines will be available spring 2012 on PlayStation®3 system, Xbox 360 and PC. The game is also on display in the South Hall at SEGA’s booth #2023, at this week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

Sa puna cineva si o traducere in romana a comunicatului pt ca cei precum cd2postal sa priceapa ceva din stire…
Din cate am citit pe alt site , actiunea se petrece in continuarea povestii din Aliens( adica al 2lea film) desi e total aiurea tinand cont de faptul ca o ditamai explozia nucleara avusese loc si se presupune ca toti xenomorfii erau morti.
In fine , faza e ca NU are nici cea mai mica legatura cu predatorii sau ceva din franciza AvP. Este strict baza numai pe franciza Alien.
Sincer sunt curios insa in acelasi timp am mari retineri numai din cauza a ceea ce a fost dezvaluit din storyline pana acum. Totusi e posibil sa mai existe modificari sau ceea ce am citit sa fie niste zvonuri.

@TerrorBlades The story of Aliens: Colonial Marines is being written by Battlestar Galactica writers Bradley Thompson and David Weddle. The events of the game are set after those of the film Alien 3. A Colonial Marine search and rescue team has been sent to investigate the U.S.S. Sulaco in search of Ellen Ripley, Corporal Dwayne Hicks, and the rest of the missing marines who were dispatched to LV-426. The Sulaco, LV-426, and the derelict alien spacecraft from Alien all serve as environments in the game, as well as other locations yet to be detailed.

@Razzledazzle:am citit pe un forum unde unul dadea niste parti din poveste. Totusi sunt curios in ce masaura se mai duc aia pe planeta (LV-426) dupa ditamai explozia nucleara. Are chestii dubioase si din ce citesc in postul tau.

@TerrorBlades si mie mi se pare cam ciudat k si eu ma ca miram citind pe acolo. Ideea e k povestea e oricum cam dubioasa pana nu vedem clar de la developeri ce se intampla. Iar grafica sper sa nu arate ca in screenurile de acum 3 ani sau mai mult cand l-au anuntat prima data. Pentru ca stiu k s-a amanat ca sa vada daca AVP are vanzari bune, ca sa il produca si pe asta si bla bla, dar totusi…
